Tre(e)mendous is Nick’s verdict on the L200

To say forester Nick Mills Forestry is an enthusiast for the Mitsubishi L200 might be something of an understatement.

Nick, from Alresford, bought his fifth example, a Barbarian, as the Generation 5 range launched and now runs a second one, a Warrior, for his son, Cameron, because he is so impressed by the tough workhorse.

His first L200 was on an 06 plate and bought in Hampshire but his subsequent purchases were made in the north of England until the Mitsubishi brand arrived in Winchester when Freeborn Mitsubishi took up the franchise.

Reliability, capability, and good fuel consumption figures make up the combination of features that appeal to Nick, along with the good impression he has formed of Freeborn Mitsubishi

The Barbarian was an outright purchase while the Warrior is on a full maintenance lease from Mitsubishi. Apart from load liners and towing equipment on the Barbarian, the only changes Nick has made is to have the wheels powder coated black before equipping them with all terrain tyres to reflect the serious amount of off-road work the vehicles are required to do and all completed before he took delivery. He also finds the Barbarian tows really well, vital for his work.
