Grand donation to help young mums

Freeborn Winchester has backed a special event to help young mums for the third year in succession.

The BABIES NCT Breastfeeding drop-in service helps young mums who need advice on feeding their babies and is open 51 weeks a year. It is funded entirely by voluntary contributions with the major fundraiser a Family Fun Day at Lanterns Children’s Centre, Bereweeke Road, Winchester.

With the service celebrating its 10th anniversary, Freeborn Winchester was happy to provide its third donation of £1,000 to underwrite the costs of the day, which this year brought in more than £6,000 to keep the service running.

As a Group that is centred strongly around providing the very latest in family cars, Freeborn Winchester took along a seven seat Citroen C4 Grand Picasso and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for visitors to explore.

The C4 Grand Picasso has multiple ISOFix options for the safe attachment of child seats while the Outlander PHEV is capable of running with zero emissions in urban environments, important when so many people now have breathing conditions associated with air pollution from vehicles.
